LAVATEX 2000 is a high performance ready
to use, cold applied, high build liquid
waterproofing membrane based on polymer
modified bitumen emulsion. LAVATEX 2000
forms a seamless, highly elastic and durable
film that adheres well to most of the common
substrates e.g. concrete, cement blocks, wood,
existing roof felts. LAVATEX 2000 is highly
resistant to chlorides and sulphates commonly
present in the soil. Also resistant to fungus
growth.

2. APPLICATION LAVATEX 2000 can be applied by brush, roller or squeegee. Hot, dry or very porous substrate should be dampened with clean water prior to application of LAVATEX 2000. When two or more coats are required, ensure that the preceding coat is fully dry before applying the successive coat, which should be applied at right angle to preceding coat. LAVATEX 2000 also acts as a curing membrane; hence it may be applied to fresh concrete immediately after the removal of formwork, eliminating the need of conventional curing with water. Since it gives a permanent black finish LAVATEX 2000 is recommended as curing membrane only for surfaces which have no aesthetic value such as sub-structures of buildings. Caution: Should not be used as curing membrane on surfaces to be painted. APPLICATION RATE • For damp proofing/vapour barrier: 3 – 4 m² / kg /coat – Apply 2 coats • Waterproofing membrane: 1m²/ kg /coat – apply 2 coats • Curing membrane: 2 – 3 m²/kg – apply one coat PACKING 18 kg pail and 200 kg drum. STORAGE/SHELF LIFE Keep away from direct sunlight and store under normal warehouse conditions. Container must be tightly closed. Shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of manufacturing provided it is stored in unopened factory packed drums. CLEANING Tools may be cleaned with water as long as the product is wet. Once dry, by mechanical means only. TECHNICAL SERVICES Technical assistance and information is available by calling Falcon Chemicals (L.L.C.) on specific application.
