STANDARDS PACKAGING COLOR RAK 101 a ready mixed tile adhesive for thin bed fixing of ceramic and polystyrene tiles to most internal surfaces. • Ready to use • Strong adhesion • No mixing required • Economical • Ease of application • Excellent initial grab (Ready - Made tile adhesive) 101 - RAK TILE PASTE ADVANTAGES The surface to be tiled must be flat, clean, dry and free of oil, grease, dust, etc. Newly plastered areas should be left for complete curing to develop sucient strength to support the weight of the tiles. Board or timber surfaces must be dry, rigid and flat. SUBSTRATE PREPARATION SHELF LIFE As with all chemical products, caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing, such as gloves and goggles, should be worn (see packaging for specific instructions). Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh water immediately. Should any of the product be accidentally swallowed, do not induce vomiting but call for medical assistance immediately. Ensure the container is available for the medical attendant to examine any relevant instructions and contents details. Reseal all containers after use and ensure product is stored as instructed on the safety section of the labelling. HEALTH AND SAFETY Up to 12 months in unopened containers stored at standard storage conditions. Avoid direct sunlight Stir well before use. Work at a maximum areas of 1m at a time. Apply the material to the substrate to a thickness of 3 mm forming a continuous horizontal rib with a notched trowel. Start at the bottom of the wall, press the tiles firmly into the correct position, leaving 1-2 mm space between the tiles for grouting purposes.Wipe o any surplus material immediately with a damp cloth. Complete each 1m before commencing the next section. Where areas need extra strength, adhesive can be applied to the back of the tiles. After a minimum of 24 hours, the gaps between the tiles can be grouted with RAK Grout. APPLICATION Clean all tools with water after use. CLEANING 2-3 kg of RAK Tile Paste covers 1m depending on the surface and the application COVERAGE RAK Tile Paste can be used for fixing ceramic tiles in bathrooms, kitchens, toilets, floorboards, etc. It can also be used as an adhesive compound for fixing polystyrene tiles. USES Not recommended for external use. Not suitable for use in areas subject to standing water. Ensure that at least 75% of the tile is in contact with the adhesive.
